My Very First Entry...

Posted by meimei at 09:16 PM on September 30, 2003.

Why hello there! This is my very first tabulas entry and I think I might like it! That is, after I figure out how to use it!

Busy as a Bee

Posted by meimei at 07:05 PM on October 3, 2003.

Well, I am unsure if I've figured everything out...actually I know for a fact that I haven't figured out this site yet...but it's fun. Unfortunately, since working I hardly have any time at my work.

And then once I get home, I've been helping my GeGe find a job near me. Ugh, not very pleasant to have to go through the job search again...and he doesn't have much time either since he's finishing his final semester. Argh.

I need a nice restful weekend! Hopefully this one will be it!

The Monday Blahs

Posted by meimei at 08:41 PM on October 6, 2003.

Mondays are so gross...whatever happened to the weekend? It seems to fly by so quickly! I spent Saturday afternoon with my mom in the attic sorting out clothes. We ended up donating approximately 6 garbage bags of clothes to Goodwill. And that's not even near how many more we have! In high school I was a big clotheshorse, but I've mellowed with age. I can't believe how much clothing we had between us. I protested that we save more clothes donating for another day.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon repotting my wonderful plants...taking cuttings and moving them around. I hope the warm weather will last a little longer so that I don't have to bring them inside the house yet. There's no room with our gazillion plants that stay in the house!

I've found four more places that GeGe can apply for a job....

Weekends Always Fly By...

Posted by meimei at 08:47 PM on October 13, 2003.

This weekend I went down to visit my GeGe. My boss was kind enough to let me leave about two hours early...so instead of arriving at 9:00 pm, I was there at 7:00ish. Good deal eh?

But time flies by so quickly! In 10 weeks he'll be graduating and then off to the real world. Though I'm still freaking out where he'll end up working. I want him to be working/living near me. I dunno how I can handle long distance again! It seems like we've been doing it for half our relationship.

Sigh. But anyways, I'm picking up knitting again! I promised GeGe last year that I would give him a blanket in time for his Christmas/Graduation gift. Eek. Only about another 10 patches to go!

Plottings

Posted by meimei at 11:38 PM on October 17, 2003.

Well next month will be my four year anniversary with GeGe...and I'm still trying to finish knitting him a blanket/throw of my (and soon to be his) alumni school colors. Eek! I still have approximately 12 more patches left to go...and not enough weeks since he'll be done by December. Hmm...unless I devote approximately 2 hours a day?

I've also started working on a gift for our anniversary, a scrapbook of some sort. But I haven't figured out the exact design just yet. I need to find a good place for fonts too.

It seems like the only thing I know for sure that is already ready will be giving him a frame to hang his diploma in...but that's a no-brainer since he got me my frame for my graduation...but then does this count for Christmas too? It's hard to have anniversary, Christmas and graduation all around the same time....

Since when did boyfriends become so complicated?

Scrapbooking

Posted by meimei at 08:44 PM on October 22, 2003.

I've started working on my anniversary present to GeGe...and I've decided to make a scrapbook of our wonderful trip to China back in Winter Break 2001-2002. I've already printed out the digital photos (on my super awesome printer). I also just spent the last few weeks looking over books on scrapbooking at the library.

Then today I went and bought some scissors (with all the fancy shape designs they cut out) and mounting adhesives...hopefully all will turn out well. I've really made an effort in all of this! Thankfully he doesn't know about any of this just yet!

Joe Millionaire?

Posted by meimei at 10:04 PM on October 27, 2003.

Oh my gosh, I just finished watching Joe Millionaire...where do they find these girls?! I thought the first Joe Millionaire girls looked a lot better than this season. And plus, you could totally tell that they're gold diggers!

Of course, the first Joe Millionaire didn't last at all with Zora...such a shame and then he shows up at the Emmys with a kind of sketchy looking gal. Ew. I'm actually looking forward to watching all the drama unfold.
